Tweamster's Blog

My name is Alan Eames and I’m originally from Iowa, raised on the farm, but now live in LA. My interest in self-employment stems from a very early age watching my Dad run his farm to support his family. I remember thinking how cool it was for Dad to be in charge of his own destiny. Of course, now, looking back, I realize there are lots of things to contend with other than just being your own boss. If you don’t do a good job, you’re out of business. So, as in farming, nursing (my mom), or any other occupation, knowing what you’re doing is part of the success formula. And part of this is keeping up with what is happening in the industry that you’re a part of.

I have been fascinated by the network marketing model since the 80s. My first introduction to the subject was A.L. Williams. If I only knew then what I know now… Okay, end of shame, blame and regret. I’ve come a long way since then. I’ve read network marketing books up the wazoo (one wonders what the heck a wazoo is, anyway), studied sales and marketing, and have way more experience than I had then. Along the way, I started and ran my own electronics repair business. After that I worked for a non-profit human rights organization for 5 years. Now I am finally ready to start sharing what I’ve learned along the way.

Please enjoy what I have to say, comment if you want, questions are allowed; if you like what I have to say, please tell others about me.

  2. Alan,

Your background is so similar to mine. I grew up on a potato farm, did the corporate thing (traded my time for money,) became a small business owner, and now am knee deep with the love of my life, network marketing.

You are very down to earth and inspire others!

    Have a wonderful day.

    • Thanks Anne! That means a lot coming from another star!

Potato farm in Idaho? When people ask me where I’m from, I always say Iowa. A common reply is oh, yeah, potatoes, right? 🙂

      Make it a great day,
